Nick Wride - ACII - Managing Director

Nick began his career with Eagle Star in 1978 leaving to join Minets in 1980 where he worked until 1985 before setting up his own business. He joined Kennett in 1993 as an Account Executive following the acquisition of his own business.

He is involved with all aspects of running and developing Kennett including recruitment and acquisitions as well as looking after the wide variety of commercial clients.

 

Diane Armitage - Director

Diane joined the company in 1989 following the merger with Minets where she had spent 12 years after beginning her career with Royal in 1974.

Diane looks after a panel of commercial clients and oversees the running of the commercial department as well as controlling the finances of the company and being the Director responsible for FSA compliance.

 
John Gray - ACII

John began his career with the General Accident in 1972 joining Minet in 1977. John Joined Kennett in 1989 when the business merged with the local Minet operation where he was the manager. John deals mainly with Commercial Business and handles many large corporate clients.

Barry Knaggs - ACII

Barry joined Kennett in 1989, at the time of the merger with Minet with whom he spent 6 years. Prior to this Barry was with the General Accident and Provincial. Barry is an experienced Fire Surveyor and his expertise in the area is extremely useful to the company. He is involved with both commercial and personal business and looks after a varied panel of clients. Barry was President of the Insurance Institute of Hull for 1997/98.

 

Howard Hayhurst

Transferred his long standing family Insurance business to Kennetts in 2002. Since then he has continued to service that business on behalf of Kennetts, from his office in Bridlington and also encourage and support new Commercial business.

Jeremy Stead

Started his career as a trainee commercial underwriter with General Accident in Hull, where he stayed until the opportunity to work as a commercial broker with a local firm presented itself. He joined his fathers family Insurance Broking business in 1990 where the worked until 2001 when the company joined Kennetts, where he now remains as a Commercial Broker and Account Executive.

 

Ian Hay

Ian joined Kennetts in 1999 and has over 25 years broking experience in the Hull area. He looks after a wide range of clients and is involved in the broking of our larger commercial and corporate accounts.

David Holmes

After spending 3 years working for Yorkshire Bank, David joined a local brokerage as an account handler in October 2004 working personal lines, claims, schemes before progressing to the commercial department where he dealt with a variety of SME and larger commercial clients. He helped develop the small business unit team until his departure to join Kennetts in November 2010 as a Trainee Account Executive.
